Course Certification and Completion
Our courses are certified by either the USCCA or NRA, and upon completion, participants may receive a certificate acknowledging their achievements. Each course can be structured to facilitate certain groups such as classes for women only and seniors only, etc. The courses offered include for example:

Our Courses Include:
Congregational Safety: Protecting Your Congregation (Pt. 1 & Pt. 2) – We provide training for church leadership to recognize various indicators that may signal potential threats to your congregation, including personnel issues and vulnerabilities in your church’s physical security framework. Additionally, we assist in establishing a Security Team and developing a comprehensive strategy to proactively address any potential threats.
Our course is structured into two key component parts:
The first component consists of an introductory mini-classroom session that offers an in-depth exploration of the various threats faced by congregations.
General time: Approximately 1 hour
The second component is an extended classroom experience that guides leaders through the necessary steps to tailor their security program to meet their specific needs. Both components will be held within your own facility.
General time: Approximately 6 hours
Cost: (For the year 2025) There is no set fee for this course held within the edifice of your house of worship for your own members, however, we depend upon the gratuity of your congregation or organization to give a donation of thanksgiving to help with our expenses.

Personal And Home Defense Fundamentals – This classroom course equips participants with essential knowledge about safety, responsibility, and effective firearm management. Students will learn the proper techniques for carrying their firearms and how to secure themselves in their homes and other environments, all in compliance with legal regulations. This course can be held within your own facility, a community facility or as an online course.
Cost: (For the year 2025) There is no set fee for this course when held within the edifice of your house of worship for your own members, however, we depend upon the gratuity of your congregation or organization to give a donation of thanksgiving to help with our expenses. Sometimes, this course may be held with a community facility and on occasion it will be scheduled as an online course.
General time: Approximately 3 hours

Understanding The Legal Use of Force – This course educates students on the implications of using their firearms, helping them understand what to anticipate and how to respond appropriately. While it does not provide legal advice, the instruction is rooted in the established legal processes and protocols that occur in the aftermath of a firearm incident. This course is essential for anyone who owns and carries a firearm. This course may be held within your own facility, a community facility or as an online course. This is a must have course for all who own or carry a firearm.
Cost: (For the year 2025) There is no set fee for this course held within the edifice of your house of worship for your own members, or your own place of business. However, we depend upon the gratuity of your congregation or organization to give a donation of thanksgiving to help with our expenses.
General time: Approximately 3.5 hours

Emergency First Aid (Stop The Bleed) – The course encompasses a variety of emergency medical crises interventions; however, Sigma Church Defense Ministries will concentrate exclusively on the fundamental principles of the well-known “Stop the Bleed” course. This focus is warranted because, in the unfortunate event that a congregation falls victim to a mass shooting, the immediate priority is to control the bleeding in order to save the lives of the affected individuals. This class should be held within your own facility.
Please note: Portions of this course will be integrated within the Congregational Safety course and does not need to be taught separately unless otherwise agreed upon by the instructor.
Cost: (For the year 2025) There is no set fee for this course held within the edifice of your house of worship for your own members, however, we depend upon the gratuity of your congregation or organization to give a donation of thanksgiving to help with our expenses.

Beginner’s Firearm Fundamentals: Range Classroom & Live Practice (2025)
Designed for beginners, this course provides a strong foundation in firearm fundamentals, beginning in a classroom at the gun range and progressing to supervised live-fire practice.
Costs: The 2025 course fee accounts for the necessary range rental expenses, as Sigma leases the facility for instruction, guaranteeing a valuable learning experience. Fees for each participant can start from $100 – $250 depending on the range, and what’s provided by the range, instructor and what you will bring to class. Sigma will always try to provide you with the best value for your experience, compared to other instructors. Make certain that you speak with the chief instructor prior to registering to establish price, payment method, and expectations. Ask about our two-fer specials.

Safeshot: Fundamentals & Defense at the Line (Range Only)
This private one-on-one coaching session provides beginners with essential firearm techniques and defensive skills, focusing on pistol grip, trigger control, target sighting, loading, unloading, and marksmanship. The session includes practical, live-fire experience at the gun range. For your safety, a brief pre-range online visual session is required.
Cost: The 2025 course fee accounts for the necessary range rental expenses, as Sigma leases the bench for instruction, guaranteeing a valuable learning experience. Fees for each participant can start from $100 – $150 depending on the range, and what’s provided by the range, instructor and what you will bring to class. Sigma will always try to provide you with the best value for your experience, compared to other instructors. Make certain that you speak with the chief instructor prior to registering to establish price, payment method, and expectations. Ask about our two-fer-one specials.
General time: Approximately 1 hour (Zoom or Google Meet)

Important Note on Course Fees (2025):
For courses hosted at your facility, there is generally no set fee; instead, we kindly request a donation from your congregation or organization. Please be aware that classes and instruction held at the gun range do incur fees. This is because the instructor rents both classroom space and range time, as Sigma does not own the facility. Sigma will always strive to provide you with the best value for your experience compared to other instructors. Therefore, in case of an emergency cancellation, it is crucial to notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance.
